What happens inside Faralia City?

Strengthen your entrepreneurship programme with a realistic business experience.

Participants stop talking about companies and start making decisions as if they were running one. In teams, they define a strategy, manage resources, respond to the market and see how their decisions affect the results.

During the experience they work on decision-making, teamwork, a global view of the business, adaptability and communication, connecting strategy, marketing, operations, people and finance.

Faralia City tower lighting up a city by the sea

One city. Different strategies. A market that responds. Let your participants experience being in charge for the first time, before doing it for real.

Inside the experience

What happens inside Faralia City?

Participants stop talking about companies and start running a gym in a simulated city. What they practise is business strategy: pricing, premises, people, marketing and adaptation.

  1. 01

    They create a business

They start from given resources and build a strategy.

  2. 02

    They make decisions

Pricing, marketing, people, operations, investment and growth.

  3. 03

    The market responds

Faralia processes the decisions and shows their consequences.

The participants make the decisions. Faralia provides the consequences.

Format: 2 to 10 teams, up to 50 participants. The teacher leads as Game Master. Teams play from a mobile phone, tablet or computer, on site, online or in blended format.

Time: the full experience is 7 rounds and usually fits into half a day or two blocks. There is a compact format of up to 2 h 30 min, more guided and with less time for debate.

From data to conversation

A decision. Its consequences. A well-founded debate.

The team compares what it expected with the customers, revenue and costs it obtains inside the game. The teacher turns that difference into a question for the classroom.

  1. Decide: do we raise the membership fee or aim for more volume?
  2. Observe: how do customers, revenue and profit change?
  3. Justify: what explains the result and what would we adjust?

Example of a teaching conversation. It does not anticipate an outcome from the engine or promise academic improvement.
